TACKLE SMOKING

Targeting Routine & Manual Workers to Tackle Smoking in Partnership with Millwall FC

Advertising on stadium screens, team bus and football programmes promoted free match-day tickets and signed footballs to raise awareness of the stop smoking services to 6,733 football fans of whom 1,991 were smokers. A total of 715 personal details were recorded during the fixtures at the stadium and 198 smokers accessed service immediately. Millwall FC was awarded the Football Association Silver Award through this community work.
